a fake Jesus

2 10 2006

There’s now a guy who claims to be the second coming of Jesus.  Problem is, he isn’t.  He doesn’t even bother to follow the predictions of how Jesus said it would be.  It’s not surprising that someone would do this (because Bible warned this would happen), but it is somewhat surprising how many followers this man has : anywhere from over 100,000 to over a million.  And supposedly he has over 300 churches and he has his own 24-hour TV channel.

The man’s name is Jose Luis De Jesus Miranda, and his ministry is called Creciendo en Gracia (Growing in Grace).  His teachings will shock you.  He says there is no more sin because Jesus has destroyed it, so you can do whatever you want (once you’re one of his followers).  He says the devil is dead and hell is a farce.  He says people are divided into two distinct castes : there are those who have no conscience or ear for his message and they are predestined for damnation; and there are believers with incorruptible spirits who are “programmed” to hear his words as truth.  (But I wonder, if there’s no hell, what is the damnation?)  He says the ten commandments are irrelevant — they’re good for society, but not good for the Kingdom of God.  He says the truth is not in the Gospels but in the teaching of the Apostle Paul.  He said one night he saw an apparition of Jesus, who merged with him, and now he says, “Ever since that day, I can’t learn from anybody — and I mean no one.”  He said he cannot be killed (although he has 9 bodyguards around him).  His followers believe they are God’s true chosen people and call their children the “super race”.  De Jesus claims, “We’re the government of God on Earth.  We will spread all over and rule the world.  We will control the church, the economy, society, education, politics, technology.”

That is so a cult!  But of course he claims it is not.  There are some major flaws in his story.  In 1998 he claimed to be the reincarnation of the Apostle Paul.  The following year he proclaimed himself “El Otro” — a demigod who would lay the foundation for the Lord’s return. Finally in 2004 he named himself Jesus Christ and the ultimate authority on the gospel.  Does that sound like a cult?  Most definitely!  His “ministry” brings in over $1 million per year, but people wonder where all the money goes, because his church doesn’t help the poor or help congregations, and most groups meet in rented churches.  In his youth he did drugs, was a thief, and spent time in jail.  But now since he “merged with God” (so he says), he claims he does greater things than Jesus of Nazareth.  A reporter asked him about miracles, and De Jesus replied that he does no miracles because the second coming is about teaching and building the church.  So he claims to be Jesus Christ, but get this — he says he is greater than Jesus, because he teaches better than Him.  That’s an obvious flaw in his “logic”!

De Jesus appeals to people on several fronts — that there is no sin, so they can do anything they want and not have to feel condemnation, and he teaches the “name it, claim it” brand of prosperity.  And so people donate lots of money to him, thinking it will make them better off (which is greed and selfishness).  Talking about prosperity, De Jesus said Jesus “had an accountant and a donkey, which was like a Mercedes Benz back then.”  Yeah, whatever

ALL his followers hear only him or one other minister preach, and he controls what is taught.  (That is very cult-like.)  His son, four daughters, and his first wife all disagreed with his claims, and now they are all separated from him.  A former follower said, “They’re stupid people who believe in stupidities.  They’re like those people in Waco, Texas.  When you go there, you get brainwashed.”

You can see a video on this, and this other page has an article and a different video.  And if you want a lot more detail, here’s a 5-page article on him.

I can’t believe people fall for this.  But I suppose there are many people searching for what life is about, and De Jesus makes his “religion” all pleasurable for people.  (Do what you want, be prosperous, be part of the “super race” and future world government, etc.)

If you’re searching for the Truth about why you were created and who God is and what He expects of you, be sure to seek diligently for the real Truth and don’t look for what just sounds good or makes you feel good.  I can tell you that Jesus Christ (as recorded in the Bible) is the answer to what life is about, but you must discover this for yourself.  He wants you to find Him, and He will reveal Himself to you if you are seeking Him.  It’s unfortunate that some people who claim to be Christians teach a false gospel, but that happens because the enemy (the devil) doesn’t want people finding the Truth.  It can sometimes be difficult to separate the Truth from all the garbage out there, but if you are sincere in seeking Jesus (with no selfish motives), He will make sure you find Him.

Hello Beppo,

Thank you for spreading the word about the second coming of jesus our father and apostle Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda. what a privilage it is to have known this beautiful mystery while in the flesh. Let me tell you my own experience. As soon as I heard him talk I realize that something unusual came out of his mouth, and to top it off, everything he said was coroborated in the bible.

we have been blinded for 2,000 years and the prophecy stays that he will come again (not to leave right away) to judge the hearts of men. I am convince that he is jesus christ man as millions around the world are. if you enjoy writing about this topic, I suggest you get ready and start studying Daddy’s material at http://www.creciendoengracia.com (click on english) so you have a better overview on why we believe he is God on earth.

Beppo, this is just the begining of something greater. We are barely scratching the surface.

I declare the best day of your life.

Was my post misleading? I think Jose Luis De Jesus Miranda is a fraud. He’s not deity. I don’t see how he can claim to be Biblical when he violates so much of the Bible with his teachings and his life. Why did he choose Jesus Christ to (try to) emulate? The books of the Bible that directly describe Jesus are the ones this Miranda guy threw out! So he’s trying to change the past to fit with the story he’s made up.

Please search for the real Truth, instead of following this Miranda guy. He might say what sounds pleasing, and he probably has a charismatic personality that helps people like him, but the Truth is not in him.

Señor Aguilar,

I don’t mean any disrespect, sir, but you are being deceived. Please don’t be fooled by this outrageous imposter, this Miranda character. The only prophecy this man is fulfilling is one made by the Real Jesus Christ Himself where He said in Matthew Chapter 24, Verses 23-25,

“23At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible. 25See, I have told you ahead of time.”

The Real Bible also speaks in Revelation of the Second coming of the Real Jesus in Chapter 1, Verse 7

“Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen.”

And in Revelation 19:11:

11I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war.

So, according to the Real Bible, if this man (he is just a man) were Jesus Christ in His second coming, he would be coming in the clouds on a white horse and we all would have seen him. I didn’t see him. There was nobody riding a horse up in the clouds last time I checked. When the Real Jesus comes, there won’t be any doubt Who He Is. His enemies will mourn, His followers will rejoice triumphantly, but there will be no doubt in anyone’s mind that HE IS the Real Jesus.

So, you see, this Miranda guy is a fake jesus just like the Real Jesus predicted would come. I pray that you turn away from this counterfeit and find the Real Jesus in the Real Bible. He wants to be found by you and to save you. There is forgiveness and salvation in the Real Jesus. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you and you won’t be disappointed.

If you are a follower of this Miranda guy or if you’re even thinking about it, consider that he claims to use the teachings of the Apostle Paul, yet look at this passage written by Paul :

Galatians 1:6-8 ~ “I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.”

Paul was saying that anyone who preaches a different gospel than Jesus Christ is accursed. And Miranda is throwing out the Gospel passages of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

Also consider the fact that Miranda claims to be Jesus Christ of Nazareth, yet he discredits the Gospels in the Bible, which explain who Jesus is. That’s odd… Why would he do that? Perhaps he’s tossing those out because obviously his life is nothing like the life Jesus lived while on Earth. He doesn’t want his followers to read about the real Jesus Christ, because they will realize Miranda is a fraud. Deceptions thrive on ignorance.

Looks like this guy is making more waves, Beppo. Some of his sadly deceived followers are now getting “666” tattoos since he is claiming that his being the antichrist is actually the 2nd coming of Christ in the flesh. The saddest part of this video was seeing the little children walk up and give money to this devil. Read about it and link to watch the latest here: Pastor with 666 tattoo claims to be divine

To all you non-christians out there: do not be deceived! This man is doing the devil’s work and should be seen as an imposter. The real Jesus wants to know you personally and you don’t have to go to Miami Florida to meet Him. Just call on Him now and ask Him to reveal Himself to you and read the Bible and see what it really says about the Real Jesus and the real antichrist. Okay, this Miranda guy claims to be Jesus Christ and the Antichrist, which obviously isn’t possible. His rambling just doesn’t add up :
“The spirit that is in me is the same spirit that was in Jesus of Nazareth.”

“Antichrist is the best person in the world. Antichrist means don’t put your eyes on Jesus because Jesus of Nazareth wasn’t a Christian. Antichrist means do not put your eyes on Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Put it on Jesus after the cross.”
He claims to be Jesus Christ of Nazareth, then claims that the same Jesus wasn’t a Christian, then he claims to be God and the Antichrist. At one point he also claimed to be a reincarnation of the Apostle Paul. (We already discussed that earlier in this post.)

I don’t see how people are believing this nonsense he speaks…

Now it makes sense how there could be so many people that vote the wrong way…
