Merry Christmas!

23 12 2006

To all my readers, I hope you have a Merry Christmas!

I’ll be taking a few days off from my blogs, to celebrate Jesus’ birth and to spend time with family.  I may still do some writing during my time off, but I probably won’t be posting for a few days.

I hope you can take some time to step away from the busyness of the holiday season.  While I enjoy most of the Christmas festivities (like family get-togethers, Christmas parties, decorating, shopping, giving and receiving gifts, cooking, watching Christmas specials on TV, etc.), it can become really hectic and cause us to lose our focus of what Christmas is all about.  Let us make a special effort to remember the reason for the season.  Jesus came to earth in human form, to deliver us from evil and to dwell among His people.  There is no greater gift than what Jesus did for us.  Because of His gift, we can enter into God’s presence and know Him personally.  And it is a gift, because He offers it freely; we can’t earn it or ever repay Him for it.  It’s such a wonderful thing!  Glory be to God!
